Taman Bunga

This is 1.4-acre garden can intrigue you with the variety of plants numbering up to 300 species. More than 30,000 plants are grown here. Located in front of the Miri Post Office, this is also a favourite place for lovebirds. Facilities include shades, water-fountain, fish ponds, garden chairs and greenhouse.

 

 
   
 

Taman Bulatan

Built on a 7.408 hectare site about 10 minutes drive from the town centre along the Miri-Pujut road, the Bulatan Park is a recreational garden and one of Miri's green-lungs.

It has a jogging track, a large man-made lake and children playground. A garden for traffic games is located here.

 

 

Taman Selera

Taman Selera is the place to go if you wan to experience the tast of young coconut juice.

Located by the beach along Jalan Temenggong Oyong Lawai Jau, this open-space food-court is an ideal spot for watching Miri's beautiful sunsets while you enjoy your fresh coconut juice and tasty seafood and other local cuisines.

If you wish do have a dip in the sea, there is changing/shower facilities in the park.

This park is 3KM and a 10 minutes drive from town centre.

 

 
 

The Coral Reefs

Underwater world? The Miri Reefs off Miri is one of the Malaysia's most recently discovered diving spots. Within this patch of reefs, there is a variety of coral and marine life that rivals the best elsewhere. Pristine hard and soft corals cover the reef where Gorgonians, sea-whips, anemones, sponges and crinoids thrive. Angel fish, fusiliers, parrot fish and wrasses disport themselves in the deep caverns among the corals and steep underwater cliffs.

Dive trips may take one afternoon or several days, depending on the location chosen. The most frequented dive spots are Eve's Garden, Tukau Drop Off and Sea Fan Garden.

 
   
   

Crocodile Farm & Miri Zoo

This crocodile farm, located 24KM along Miri Kuala Baram Road, offers a chance to visitors to be up close with the sometimes notorious reptile.

There are more than 3,000 crocodiles of various species living in this farm cum mini zoo, including one said to be more than 30 years old as well as several albinos and handicapped ones. Crocodile feeding demonstrations are done on weekends and public holidays and can be organized for tourists on weekdays upon requests.

Other kinds of exotic local animal species, birds and snakes are also found here. Interesting souvenirs made form crocodile skin are available at the farm.
