Miri Golf Club Golfers should not leave behind their golf sets when they visit Miri. Miri Golf Club offers an international standard 18 hole golf course. Located at Pulau Melayu fronting the South China Sea, it is the only golf course in Miri at the present time.
The golf club has a clubhouse equipped with restaurant and coffee house, swimming pool, bar and karaoke facilities. |

Piasua Boat Club This club is a "not-to-be-missed" for water-sports lovers. It organizes windsurfing, sailing and various other water and beach activities. The clubhouse, located at Pulau Melayu, serves fantastic local and western cuisines. For the crooners, they can belt out Frank Sinatra numvers to their heart's content at the Club's Karaoke. |

Tua Pek Kong Temple The "Tua Pek Kong" Temple (Chinese Temple) was built in 1910. It is a holy place for Buddhist devotees to worship and pray for good health and prosperity. Situated in the town center, along the Miri River, it has unique mural paintings, dragon sculptures and statues of Chinese gods and goddesses. Hundreds of devotees flock to the "Tua Pek Kong" on Chinese New Year Eve. Big joss sticks are lit to ward off spirits. Fruits and many scrumptious food are offered to the gods, praying and wishing for a better and more prosperous year ahead. |

Taoist Temple Lian Hua San Qing Tien Miri Taoist Temple is the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Since it was established, it has attracted many Taoists to Miri. This unique building showcases Chinese religious architecture and design. It houses three massive statues depicting Taoist found in Mainland China, this strcture makes the perfect backdrop for a souvenir picture. Visitors to the temple will leave for home with some understanding about the Taoist philosophy from the monks staying in two buildings adjacent to the temple. The temple also functions as a research and study centre for those interested in learning more about Taoism. |

Churches
As a reflection of the cosmopolitan nature of Miri, Churches of different denominations have established themselves here.
The Catholic Church was recorded as the first in 1903 and was followed by the Anglican. In the later years others follow and now Miri has many churches. |
